Reasons to be hidden

Find out why your profile may not be visible to students.

To ensure that the Taketutor platform has the best tutors available, our team constantly monitors tutors' performance. Due to this, tutors whose performance is considered unsatisfactory can be hidden from the search results. 

The reasons why a tutor`s profile can be hidden:

1. Multiple reports concerning the tutor's absence for lessons. To learn more about this, please check our attendance rate policy here. 

2. New students’ messages haven’t been answered for more than 24 hours. Your profile will be back to search once you reply to the requests (please check your archived messages as well).

3. Multiple reports about the tutor's inappropriate behavior from students. (e.g. violation of social norms and rules including inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, fraud, etc.) To learn more about rules for tutors, please check here. 

4. The introductory video cannot be viewed on the tutor’s profile.
