Where can I add my education?

Add a diploma to your profile to verify your educational background, increase your profile credibility, and grab students’ attention.

Adding an education diploma to your profile can help you verify your educational background and encourage more students to book a lesson with you.


Please note: educational diplomas and certificates are different things. To learn how to upload a certificate, please refer to this page.


What documents are acceptable?

  1. Teaching diploma
  2. Subject diploma
  3. Other diploma


We accept undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas from accredited higher education institutions.


We do not accept academic transcripts, student ID cards, letters of recommendation, a syllabus, or any lesson curriculum.


Adding educational background document to your profile


You can upload diplomas to your profile during the registration process or if you’re an existing Taketutor tutor.


For approved tutors, you can add it here:

You need to upload an official diploma and provide information about the document, such as the name of the university or the issuing authority, the degree, degree type, specialization and years of study. 

 Make sure you follow this checklist so your document is approved:


  • Upload a high-resolution document that states your name, the institute, the degree, specialization and years of study
  • Ensure the name and surname on the document match your profile name
  • Double check that the information submitted corresponds to the original version
  • Upload your diploma to the correct section (Education)


You will receive an email stating whether or not your diploma has been approved on the Taketutor website.
